Who We Are
Vision Statement
From our founding, the clear vision of Sierra Reach Ministries has been to:
Reach God,
Reach the World,
Reach One Another.
Mission Statement
It is our desire here at Sierra Reach Ministries to fulfill the biblical mandate set forth in Isaiah 61:1-4
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Because the Lord has anointed me
To bring good news to the afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives
And freedom to prisoners;
To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
To grant those who mourn in Zion,
Giving them a garland instead of ashes,
The oil of gladness instead of mourning,
The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting.
So they will be called oaks of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. Then they will rebuild the ancient ruins, They will raise up the former devastations;
And they will repair the ruined cities,
The desolations of many generations.”
Core Beliefs
· We Believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. We Believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons; Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
· We Believe in the deity of Jesus Christ: in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; in His miracles; in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection; and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and in His personal return in power and glory.
· We Believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential, and that repentance from sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to come into a relationship with God.
· We Believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by who’s indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We further believe His power and gifts are available to believers today.
· We Believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
· We Believe it is important to uphold the scriptural practices of the early church. Therefore, we hold to the practice of water baptism and the regular taking of communion. We do not believe that either of these practices is essential for salvation, but that they serve as a demonstration of our living faith in Christ.
· We Believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ, and the evidence of the unity being shown by how we love one another.
· We Believe in the sanctity of marriage as defined by God in His Holy Word as the covenant union between one man and one woman for life.
